UNITOP-POLYSORBATE-20(SPL) is nonionic surfactants derived from sorbitan esters. It is soluble or dispersible in water but differ widely in organic and oil solubility. Used as oil in water emulsifiers in pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, cleaning compounds, etc.

1. Solubilizer
Helps dissolve poorly water-soluble active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), such as essential oils, vitamins (e.g., Vitamin A, E), and lipophilic drugs.

2. Stabilizer for Protein Drugs Prevents aggregation and denaturation of protein- or peptide-based biologics (e.g., monoclonal antibodies, insulin).

3. Emulsifier Used in oil-in-water emulsions, such as creams, ointments, and IV fat emulsions.

4. Wetting Agent Enhances the spreading and penetration of topical and ophthalmic formulations.

5. Vaccine Formulations Included in some vaccine formulations as a stabilizer or emulsifier (e.g., for viral vaccines).

6. Nasal and Inhalation Formulas Used in formulations for nose sprays or nebulizers to solubilize active components.
